The receptionist is very helpful and speaks very good English. The restaurant owner Mano went out of her way to make sure we had everything. She kept cold king coconuts for us, they were very refreshing after being out in the hot weather. The owner of the hotel is trying really hard to make sure the hotel is up to the standards.

This makes it an excellent choice for businesses or organizations looking to host events or conferences without breaking the bank. The breakfast buffet had a reasonable selection, but it lacked the variety and quality one might expect from higher-end venues. The lunch is similarly basic. While the food is decent and fills the need, it might not impress those looking for a gourmet experience.
We didn't stay but went for a family time in the pool and for lunch. The pool was clean and nicely maintained. There was a baby pool and was really helpful for a family. The location was in the city, but ut was really good environment, covered well, feels so homely and privacy maintained well. My kids enjoyed well the time spend there. Lot of hotels not allow visitors to use a pool but this hotel provide it to a very reasonable price. And the food outlet in the hotel had variety of items, from home-made delicious Xmas cookies to a nice rice meal for lunch. There were quite a good range of white rice, red rice and yellow rice. We all enjoyed it well. We were thrilled to see the great range of platter available at the hotel. But our tummies were full and couldn't try it but hope to try it in near future. The owners were really nice and helpful that made the place feeling like a home. I would love to visit again and hopefully try to stay when needed in picture.
We stayed four days last month in Hotel Janaki. Rooms are good but some doors of the wall unit are broken. Needs to be repaired. Location is good, very close to the city of Colombo and other shopping malls. Breakfast is very poor. No dessert for breakfast at all. They don't give atleast a banana for the breakfast. Quality of the breakfast should be improved.

Wonderful Stay at Hotel Janaki – Colombo I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Janaki Colombo. The location is excellent and very convenient for traveling around the city. The room was very clean and comfortable, with good air conditioning which made my stay very relaxing. The facilities were well maintained and everything was in good condition. The food was delicious, and I really enjoyed the nice pool area – it’s perfect for relaxing. I stayed for 18 hours and paid 18,000 LKR, which was good value for money. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to others visiting Colombo.
Good Points.. Friendly staff. Bar is available with bites (chicken , pork) Parking space available with 24 security. Meeting room arrangement available with full Cort. Rooms are very clean and well arranged with good space. (Bathroom also well maintained) Bad points (need to improve these) (But the fourth floor public bathrooms need more cleaning rounds ) But food is not reach above ⭐⭐⭐ (Rice is not not prepared well. Even the lunch menu ,fish curry I couldn't recommend for any. )
Very good hotel. Excellent breakfast. Clean swimming pool.Spacious rooms.All Staff was very polite and friendly.Ideal for family stay.They also have cafe. Chef Raja is cooking delicious and healthy food. Value for money.
